Both global politics and social relations were relying on the concepts of progress , good change , trust in science , awareness , technical progress , and the ability to explain any phenomenon from a logical standpoint . Nevertheless , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world began to change and now , 40 years after , we dwell in a new kind of actuality .
We effortlessly spot all changes which are brought to us by new technology, but we infrequently come to realize the fact that there are specific thoughts which the author has put behind those inventions . The essence of the upcoming adjustment was initially tracked by those people, who as a rule of thumb lived anteceding their time – poets and authors. Among the numerous authors whose masterpieces have served for amusement , there have been several of them who have given people a new vision . The achievement of Joan Rowling can be named unique as she has become the first writer in the world to earn $1 billion by writing fairytales. She is now spending a huge part of her earnings on charity, battling poverty and diseases. The idea of the book was created while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first decided to bring out her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a kind piece of advice — to find a permanent job. He was hesitant of the fact that the young writer would be able to make a living off of writing books. Joann has showed the opposite - having produced a series of amazing fairytales, she has made the so-called non-reading people get back to reading.
This paper is not able to enumerate and more or less precisely list all writers who have given their contribution to the today’s literature. They have been writing and putting ideas exactly into the heads of the people, and thus were influencing the future. Thus, as we can see, these writers were not writing for entertainment only, but they were also playing a significant role in molding the culture and the perception of a civilization of the 20th century.
